Ihíyotl Suave brings together mullein, oatstraw, peppermint, thyme, and orange peel in a refreshing yet grounding cup with notes of soft mint, earth, citrus, and herbal warmth.

Sin Regaliz • Without Licorice Root

The original licorice-free offering.

Mullein, oatstraw, peppermint, thyme, and orange peel create a brighter, more herb-forward cup where the cooling peppermint, aromatic thyme, and citrus notes can come forward.

Choose Sin Regaliz if you prefer your tea without licorice root, enjoy a less-sweet herbal cup, or need or choose to avoid licorice.

Con Regaliz • With Licorice Root

The same foundational blend with the addition of licorice root.

Licorice has a long history of traditional use in respiratory herbal preparations. It also brings its own distinctive character to the cup - a natural, lingering sweetness that rounds the other herbs and creates a softer, fuller flavor.

Choose Con Regaliz if you enjoy the naturally sweet flavor of licorice and it is an appropriate herb for you.

🍵 What Does Licorice Change?

Sometimes formulation isn't about adding more plants simply because we can.

One plant can change an entire cup.

Without licorice, Ihíyotl Suave is brighter and more herb-forward.

With licorice, the cup becomes naturally sweeter and rounder.

Neither is the “better” version.

They are simply two different expressions of the same blend, created so you can choose the cup that belongs on your tea table.

🌾 The Herbal Allies

Mullein
A soft, earthy herb with a long history of traditional use in respiratory herbal preparations.

Oatstraw
A gentle, nourishing herb traditionally enjoyed as a mineral-rich herbal infusion.

Peppermint
Cooling, aromatic, and refreshing. Peppermint gives Ihíyotl Suave its recognizable fresh character.

Thyme
Warm and deeply aromatic, adding an herbaceous note that balances the cooling peppermint.

Orange Peel
Brightens the blend with gentle citrus aroma and flavor.

Licorice Root - Con Regaliz only
Traditionally included in respiratory herbal preparations and naturally quite sweet, licorice rounds and softens the flavor of the blend.

🫖 Preparation

Add 1–2 teaspoons of loose tea per cup of hot water.
Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes.
Strain, sip slowly, and enjoy.
For an especially soft cup, add a little honey if desired.

Before the first sip, hold your cup close.
Notice the warmth in your hands.
Breathe in the steam.
Take one slow breath without trying to change it.
Then another.
Drink your tea.

Sometimes returning to the breath doesn't need to be complicated.

⚠️ A Note About Licorice Root

Con Regaliz contains licorice root.

Licorice root can affect blood pressure and potassium levels and may interact with certain medications.

Consult an appropriate healthcare professional before using licorice root if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have high blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver disease, or low potassium; or take prescription medications.

If licorice root isn't appropriate for you - or you simply prefer your tea without it - choose Sin Regaliz.
